What is the secret of happiness? This may vary according to the person involved. But we know that people who are happy have different habits and think differently than unhappy people. So, the good news is that if you are trying to be one of those happy people, recognize that the desired emotion comes from within and you really have the power to reverse by mastering some simple habits.

Do you know that some people feel happy about what happens to them? They always have a positive outlook on life. We can imagine only about the happiness of their flourishing relationship and their enjoyment.

You probably wondered what it is about them that makes happiness easier for them. Well, it turns out that there is no special trick to happiness. Like anything, it is just something we need to learn to make a habit.

Recognize your fear, accept it, and then do whatever it is. I once faced my fears by jumping 500 feet in a bungee jump. Talk about scary and exhilarating! What scares you.

The things that are impossible for you should be listed. Put the list on your bulletin board. Pick one thing every year to knock out your list and see that your chances are increasing. If you know me, you can understand why I put marathon running on my list of “impossible things”. Although I am more of a walker than a runner, I enjoy the physical sensations of running and was quite proud of myself for completing my first marathon in just six hours, nine minutes! That I completed this program was a win for me. What would you like to win?

Before you die make a list of 100 things that you want.

Start doing them tomorrow. As soon as you complete them, examine them. Every year on your birthday try to do one thing from your list. Review the list at least once a year and add it as needed. Do not let yourself go to sleep without celebrating what you have done that day. Suppose you have to give the best hoot-and-holler by cleaning your tooth then it is more important when celebrating your success to be enthusiastic. You cannot exorcise this enthusiasm – the more, the better. What have you done today that is worth a pleasure?

Take a list of everything you are thankful for

Write down everything you can think of that you feel blessed. When you are feeling down then study and update your list as often as you can do. Read the list every time to boost your energy. Record the list in your voice and listen to it while you work or drive. What should you be thankful for?
